Music, parades, arts are events’ focus
Music in Kelley Park – Each summer, Apple Valley
hosts a series of free outdoor music concerts 6 p.m. Fri-
days in Kelley Park, 6855 Fortino St. Parking for these
concerts is available on nearby streets, and there is an
adjacent playground near the outside stage. More is at

ArtBlast – Typically held the last week of June. Variety
of music, performance and visual arts events along with
classes in locations throughout Rosemount. Includes a
square dance and Bluegrass Americana Festival. More

Apple Valley Freedom Days – Series of events in
days prior to and on Friday, July 4. Freedom Days Pa-
rade 1 p.m. July 4 follows route from Pennock Avenue
at Fireside Drive north to 145th Street west to Hayes
Road north Apple Valley High School. The event also
includes Dancin’ ’n’ Cruisin’ classic car show and street

Rosemount Leprechaun Days – July 19-28, 2019. The
city’s largest annual festival includes about 60 events
with a 100-unit parade, which will be at 11 a.m. Satur-
day, July 27, carnival, live music, fi reworks, and food
mostly centered around Central Park. To volunteer, do-

Dakota County Fair – Aug. 5-11, 2019, Dakota County
Fairgrounds, 4008 220th Street W., Farmington. Tickets
will be available starting in July at the Dakota County
Fair box offi ce in Ahlberg Hall. The fair includes a mid-
way with carnival rides, food, exhibits, music, grand-
stand events, and much more at the, 651-463-8818, www.

Southern Cruzers Summer Spectacular Car and
Craft Show – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Aug. 24, 2019, Dakota
County Fairgrounds, Farmington. Includes swap meet,
car corral. Cost: $5 per person and children under age
12 admission is free with a paying adult. Portion of pro-
ceeds donated to charity. More information is at www.

Ramble Jam – typically the second weekend in Sep-
tember, Dakota County Fairgrounds. Country rock mu-
sic festival organized by Farmington Rotary. Headlining
acts will be released in June and July. More is at www.
