POETRY
A Christmas Tree Story

On the New Year's Eve, when everyone was rushing around in bustle and searching for gifts, I
managed to slow down the time in order to be alone with my own thoughts for some time, listen to
my inner voice; I managed to do so thanks to Alyona Bezuglaya`s musical and poetic performance,
which was called “A Christmas Tree Story”. I should say, it was one of those evenings that I will
remember for a long time! I was the very first among all guests, and spent some time in perfect
silence. Winter, fairy lights, little Christmas trees, delicious cocoa with marshmallows ... It was the
very moment when I felt that the New Year was coming and that all the miracles that we had read
about in books and dreamt in childhood were already about to happen. An incredible feeling! I
plunged into the atmosphere of warmth and joy, thanks to the meeting with my dear friends from
the City Poets` Club and, of course, thanks to Alyona and her poetic lines and thoughts that lit up
our whole space with flashing sparks!... We were grateful to her for the evening that revived a fairy
tale spirit in our souls and brought back the quivering memories. Being so fragile and romantic, she
was fluttering among us like a Christmas angel and was telling about the brightest moments of
her childhood, reading poems about winter and the joys of the first snow as well as giving each of
us poems and postcards with wishes.
My Creative Autobiography
Alyona Bezuglaya
Poetess,
Blagoveshchensk (Russia)
I have an interesting background
concerning poetry. In childhood I didn't write
poems, and poetic greetings to relatives and
friends with all the holidays were rather an
exception. I started writing for the soul as an
adult, after my graduation from the
university and several years of working as a
middle-level manager. It was a moment when
I wasn`t able to fall asleep one night, being
overwhelmed by persistent rhymes...
To begin with, I started publishing my
poetry on Internet sites. I posted my poems
on the all-Russian web portal Poems.ru , and
also started a poetic blog on our Amur
Region news website. After some period of
time, I decided to spread my work within the
society and started to organize poetic
evenings in coffee shops and art spaces,
which I'm still doing up to the present time.
As recently as December 19, I ran an
event - a poetic performance “A Christmas
Tree Story”. During the event I was sharing my
childhood memories and thoughts on the
matter, and I was also reading poems within
the topic. The guests particularly liked
poetic divination.
Regarding the print publications, my
poems can be found in the almanac “Poet of
the Year 2015”, in the almanac “Amur 2017”, and
soon they will be in the almanac “Amur 2018”
(the selection has already been submitted for
printing).
My work is far from being an
autobiography, but it is definitely an
impressive part of me. As for creative plans, I
make them in the most ambitious manner.
First of all, it is, of course, to publish my
own poetry collection. Besides, I am very
interested in various kinds of creative
collaborations, poetry and theater, for
example, so I've already got a couple of
interesting ideas on my mind.
