Nothing but Music
During these 10 years I happened to
participate in various competitions at the city,
provincial, regional and international levels, as
well as to play many concerts dedicated to
holidays, anniversaries, etc. Some of my
performances, especially during the first
years, were not very successful, some of
them, on the contrary, were. Some of the
competitions took place in the other cities of
Russia and even abroad, so I managed to visit
Vladivostok, Heihe, Novosibirsk, Moscow, Nice
(France), Ocean and Artek children's camps.
The most memorable performance was in
France, of course. The chance to play in front
of the French audience is not something
ordinary, especially to play Russian songs with
the Russian instrument! In general, these trips
gave me invaluable experience and helped me
to meet a lot of interesting people from
different parts of our country and abroad.
But don't go believing that the musical
taste of those who play a button accordion is
limited with only folk or classical compositions.
On the contrary, I like various songs in different
musical genres, and especially those having
meaningful lyrics, in addition to beautiful
melody. Nowadays the number of this kind of
songs is getting less and less, so it is not
surprising that I've been increasingly playing
the compositions of such geniuses as
Vysotsky, Tsoi, Talkov, Okudzhava and others,
with both music and meaningful lyrics in their
songs. In addition, I also like the songs of
Konstantin Meladze and Raimonds Pauls for
their melodiousness, among the foreign ones -
Queen, Scorpions, Sting, Sabaton, etc.
