Love for Music
Ekaterina Rusakova
School No. 5,
Blagoveshchensk (Russia)
It` s my seventh year of studying music as
I started when I was 6 years old. I perfectly
remember my first lesson and teacher Elena
Leonidovna Chernykh. I will never forget her
passionately telling me about music, notes,
composers and the instrument. I learnt from her
that piano can express any shade of feelings
and mood.
If I'm upset by something or just in
“autumn blue” mood, I sit in front of my piano
and my melancholy goes away in a few minutes.
Spirits of mine and also of my parents and sister
rise instantly when they enter my room to listen
to the music I play.
Mozart, Shuman, Beethoven, Chaikovsky,
Bakh – the list of brilliant composers is endless
and every time I play their melodies written in
minor key I feel obsessed by emotions. Of
course, all these melodies and feelings come
along with hard work. If you want to achieve
great results in studying music, you should
practice at least 2-3 hours a day.
February 2019 №2
I have already taken part in several music
contests, such as “Art for World”, international
contest “Inspiration”, art contest “Art World”.
While preparing for a contest I spent at least 4
hours each day practicing and my best reward
for that was the Grand Prix at the international
contest of music art “My Melody”.
Besides playing the musical instrument,
studying at music school also includes other
subjects, such as musical literature, solfeggio,
chorus etc. I'm not planning to continue my
music education after graduating from music
school, but I appreciate studying there since it
taught me patience, persistence, habit of
following through, and what`s more important –
love for music.
