DANCING
My Dance Family
Another thing that everybody was
waiting impatiently for was trips. Our dance
group participated in many festivals and
concerts in Russia and abroad. Thanks to it, I
visited lots of towns of the Amur region,
Baikalsk, Ulan-Ude, Saint Petersburg, Moscow,
several cities in China, Poland, Germany, and
France. Every trip was special, they all were full
of fun, adventures, new impressions, cultural
visits, small and big discoveries. We discovered
not only new places and new cultures, but we
also discovered each other.
For me, the most memorable trip which
influenced my life in a kind of way was the trip
to France. It happened when I was eleven. First,
we arrived in Paris, and I fell in love with this city
from the first second, with its beautiful
architecture and narrow streets. Then we
headed for a small town Jonzac in Charente-
Maritime, there we visited some other small
towns and I saw an ocean for the first time in
my life. The final point of our travel was Disney
Land. It seemed to me that I found myself in a
fairy tale or in a wonderful dream. Since then, I
became fascinated with French culture and
started learning French at the university. The
result is that now I am studying in France.
This year was the first one when I
couldn't share the birthday of my dear dance
school with other members and graduates
neither as a dancer nor as a spectator. And I
couldn't see how my little sister danced on the
stage for the first time. Thanks to Instagram
and to spectators who shared some videos, I
felt as a part of the birthday atmosphere. It is
five years after my graduation, but I still
remain a member of my dance family and take
to heart everything that happens there. “We”
is not only a dancing school but the place
where I learned to be a part of a group, to
communicate with others, the place where I
became a personality and where I experienced
the most vivid moments of my childhood.
But even when it wasn't Paris or another
big city, every trip was an exciting adventure,
because it was a chance for us to spend more
time together doing the thing that we loved.
