ART
Creativity for the Soul
How old were you when you started
drawing?
I started to draw in my early childhood.
As my mother told me, when I was very young, I
used to lie on the floor and draw aliens. Thus,
they decided to get me into an art school, but
after a while I got bored there. We were paid
little attention, despite the fact that we
should have obtained some knowledge there.
In college things were a little different. They
explained to us our mistakes and it was there
that I got the most profound knowledge. Much
depends on a teacher. Talented people
worked there and I was a part of a very good
and friendly group. Then I wanted to get into
the economics school, but it turned out to be
very difficult for me, although I was ready to
pay tuition fees. I was thinking of becoming a
lawyer, but eventually, I graduated as a
teacher of drawing. After the graduation, I
didn't plan to tie my life to creativity, I wanted
to wear business clothes: a white blouse and
heels. I worked in the bank, lived for two years
in Vladivostok while being employed in a nail
service company. At that time, I didn't know
what I wanted and couldn't find myself. I was
afraid of driving a car and was tired of the
endless hills. Having returned to
Blagoveshchensk, I realized that I loved this
city. My parents are there next to me; I've got a
favorite job. The only problem was that I
wanted to go travelling, but never had anyone
to go with. I am not the completely alone type
by nature. I really enjoy meeting people. I used
to be a short-tempered person before, but
now I calmed down and became more
balanced. I worked a lot on myself and
changed for the better, although I feel like
something's missing through to live in the
perfect harmony.

SUNRISE
Where would you like to go? Maybe you
are drawn to some certain place? My mother,
for example, can't shake the feeling that in
her past life she lived in Norway.
I don't have such a thing, but I love
Europe. Also Altai attracts me. I love to look at
photos on Instagram and one day I saw a
photo taken in the place that I really liked.
There was a building, a summer table and the
sea. That was exactly the place I wanted to go
to! And here is a photo from the Khabarovsk
Krai. It turns out that you can see whales out
there. You just sail in a boat, and there are
these beautiful giants there under you ...
It's amazing! Yet, when living in our
small town, you realize that you need to go
somewhere else from time to time to
experience new emotions and impressions.
Who is your favorite artist I wonder?
I admire the paintings of Aivazovsky and
his seascapes. You can look at it forever. In
general, I prefer the traditional painting. Repin,
Shishkin, Surikov. It is interesting to look at
their paintings. I like to look upon the details. I
am personally a fan of drawing animals. I rarely
draw the portraits. This is a responsible task.
You need to be able to transfer with the
painting not only the physical resemblance,
but also the character of a person. I prefer
drawing with paints: acrylic, the oils. As a rule I
create the custom-made paintings or give
classes. I haven't drawn anything for myself
for a long time. The time for this will come later
perhaps.
I've noticed that the creative solutions
are trendy now. It is fashionable to draw the
eco-paintings and also to use coffee or wine
...
That is, in the first place, economical,
and, secondly, entertaining. Everybody now
seems to be a coffee lover! The favorite drink
and creativity go hand in hand, and the
process itself also smells good. In fact, such a
painting can fade out in short time, so it is not
a very practical way. Gold leaf is gaining in
popularity now. That looks stylish and the
creation process is very interesting.
