As a final independent study practice , listen to a podcast , YouTube video or news clip and make notes from it . Use all the note-taking techniques we ’ ve explored in this module .
REMEMBER !
Prepare : think about what you already know about the topic .
Make a note of the key points .
Make sure your notes are organised – include your name , date and topic .
Use abbreviations to save time .
Use the Cornell note-taking method if it works for you .
Go back and review your notes as soon as possible . Use this as an opportunity to check with your teacher if you don ’ t understand something .
Go back to your notes regularly to ensure you remember the information .
