CEAP’s food shelf and overall mission.
“Our congregational partners are really hoping that
people will come out in force and just have a nice meal
and sit with your neighbor and celebrate what makes
Two Osseo Senior High students have
been selected to display their work the 22nd
Annual National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition.
Kendall Potratz was selected for her work
“Two Harbors’ Basket,” and Lindy Oujiri
was selected for her work “Lantern.”
The National K-12 Ceramic Exhibition
is an annual ceramic competition for kin-
dergarten through grade 12 students in the
United States. This year’s juror was Profes-
sor Eva Kwong of Kent State University.
this community special,” Hickok said.
Insight Brewing will host its “Smoke Signals” event
March 23, featuring barbeque and bluegrass perfor-
mances. Half to the $2 admission fees will be donated
to CEAP. Located at 2821 E. Hennepin Ave., Insight
will host Minnesota BBQ Co., Clarin Family BBQ, and
Pig Approved BBQ, as well as Glam Doll Donuts and
UP Coffee Roasters. Performers include the Roe Family
Singers, the Wailing Loons, the Dead Pigeons, the Para-
chute Pandas and The Pistol Whippin Party Penguins.
The show is designed to showcase the best
K-12 ceramic work made in the country. The
exhibition takes place in a different city each
year in conjunction with the annual confer-
ence of The National Council on Education
for the Ceramic Arts.
This conference is the preeminent ceram-
ic event in the U.S., gathering profession-
als from universities, colleges, museums,
art galleries and the ceramic arts world to
a host city to view exhibitions, demonstra-
tions, talks and other ceramic events. This
year, Minneapolis will be the host site. The
show will be held at the convention center
Feb. 27-29.

More than 60 community partners are also hosting
food drives for CEAP across the community.
“One of the important things to highlight this month
is that many of us are only one crisis or unexpected cir-
cumstance away from needing the support of an orga-
nization like CEAP, and this is why we’re here,” Hickok
said. “We all believe in lending a hand to our neighbors
and this is a way to do it collectively.”
