Center focuses on healthy living
When it comes to fitness and recreation, Waconia area residents have access to a fantastic facility geared towards a healthy experience for all age groups. Safari Island Community Center offers a guest experience highlighted by a variety of fitness opportunities ranging from low-impact to high-intensity and is conveniently located on the western edge of Waconia on Community Drive.
Safari Island’ s Rec Pool is a zero depth entry, 57,000 gallon pool with a giant water slide and a brand new elephant water slide for the little ones. The Rec Pool also contains a therapeutic spa in close proximity to the pool for those in need of a little relaxation!
An 8-lane pool is for you to enjoy lap swim or free swim with diving boards at various times of the day.
Kiddos not yet ready to hit the pool? Swim lessons are offered on location. And fitness is always on the menu at Safari Island. Make the weight room your first destination when in search of a path to better health. It features brand new state of the art cardiovascular equipment and updated
life fitness strength machines. As well as tons of free weights and dumbbells that gives you plenty of versatility.
A 4-court gym offers room for numerous activities and adventures. The gym area includes a suspended walking track on the upper level. The beautiful 4-court gym can also be rented for private events, leagues, or clinics.
Led by amazing instructors, numerous classes offer community, energy, and motivation to create a transformative experience and help deliver fitness results. Best of all, classes are free for Platinum members!
Kids need a little excitement? Come adventure in a 4 level indoor play structure. From ball pits to a giant jungle slide, there is never a shortage of things to explore. So let those little lions climb, crawl, slide and explore to their little hearts content. Socks are required. featuring a giant slide, ball pits, and more!
