Dear Members,
I hope this newsletter finds everyone safe and well, wherever it is you may be. The dark cloud of the
pandemic seems to be lingering on. As a community, we have made the best of this unprecedented
situation. It is great seeing everyone still coming out to play golf in what we call the “new normal”. We sure
miss our northern friends and hope to see you all arrive back in the fall.
The golf courses continue to rebound from winter season. The fairways and rough are starting to lush up
with a little help from the summertime rains. The herbicide program has really started to take hold on both
courses. Over the last couple of months both courses have been through several rounds of aerifications and
vertical mowing.
We are very proud to bring you the Island Treats, where we are serving premium Hershey’s ice cream. To
start out, it will be open on Friday through Sunday 11:00AM – 7:00 PM. If successful, we will continue this
year-round and possibly extend hours, days and selections. We hope to see you there for a treat!
We are very excited to roll out our new menu plan for the Island View. With the high demand to keep the
menu items fresh, Chef Kevin and I have been working on an exciting approach to execute this. We have
implemented a weekly dinner special program over the summer that has been well received. In October this
will extend to 2 or more weekly specials that offer you new and exciting entrees every week! Accompanying
that will be monthly featured items that will rotate every month. This will consist of 5 or 6 items that we
will rotate out monthly. Our Sunset Dining program will continue and will be adjusted as necessary. Sunset
dining entrees will still include a draft beer, house wine or a soft drink. Daily specials will continue to be
offered along with all of these options. A small Pub Menu will also be an option for those looking for a
smaller entree or sharables.
