The SUN evaluation framework and methods of evidence gathering have been approved by the University of Southampton Ethics Committee and the Administrative Research Ethics and Quality Assurance process AREQA ). Our data privacy notice has been approved by the University of Southampton Legal Services team . We are collecting personal information for this project under the legal basis of Public Task and , where appropriate , informed consent .
Where it is a necessity to share identifiable data SUN has in place Data Sharing Agreements and , where necessary , additional agreements to ensure all third-party organisations adhere to GDPR .
All target students will be provided with a participant information booklet . SUN will circulate an electronic copy of the parent / carer information booklet which can be circulated by the school or college . In addition to the information booklets , SUN request institutions provide parents / carers with a project information letter which provides further information and an introduction to Uni Connect and SUN .
For full detailed information on our data protection information please contact SUN @ soton . ac . uk MONITORING AND EVALUATION EXPECTATIONS : As a minimum all schools and colleges who engage in Uni Connect activity are expected to :
1 . Complete their SPoC activity report or Operating Plan on a regular basis . The report details engagement in interventions by students 2 . Return the SPoC activity report or Operating Plan by deadlines provided each academic year 3 . For schools receiving funding via the SUN Small Project Fund , all students engaged in activity should be given the opportunity to complete a HEAT form
All successful Small Project Funds will be assessed by the SUN Evaluation and Impact Officer along with other SUN team members involved in the Small Project Fund in deciding if additional evaluation is needed . Criteria for additional evaluation includes amount awarded , intensity of activity , target group
