LETTER FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT Its hard to believe that we are already heading into the month of March. Besides being one of our busiest months for play, it is also the month for our Club Championships. This means that as we get into the month we will increase green speeds in preparation for those events. Anytime greens get quicker the pin placements become more difficult to set. We will do the best we can to move them around the greens to spread out the traffic and also keep them fair. Staff will work to try and make sure that each day is set up as reasonable as possible. Some of the tees on Deer Run, particularly the gold and white tees, will be moved around to also try and spread some of the heavy traffic around. One tee of note is that the gold tee on 14 Deer Run is temporarily on the back of the red tee. As the gold tee recovers we will get the tees back in the normal position. We are happy to report that we are reaching the end of the first phase of the front entrance renovation with just a few tweaks to be made here and there. The last part of phase one will be up-lighting on the Oak trees at the front entrance and also on the Royal Palms at the driving range. We look forward to a great month at SNL and look forward to seeing you on the courses. Keeping it green, Earl McMinn Superintendent 6
