OFFICERS' REPORTS
Happy Fall everyone!
This is my favorite time of the year! I love the changing of colors, (which happens all too quickly), the brisk mornings, and most of all SWEATERS/SWEATSHIRTS! Enjoy the picture, it was taken at a veterans cemetery in WA recently and I love the red, white, blue and green colors.
The WDALA checkbook balance is $14,388.48 as of October 27, 2017.
Our fall seminar went well at the ND Heritage Center and our profit was approximately $3,300.00. WDALA has already booked that facility for the Fall Seminar to be held September 18 & 19, 2018. We have also started lining up speakers, and we are expecting another great group of speakers and attendees. I wish to thank Candy, Melissa, Alice and Megan for all of their help with the fall seminar planning—it has been a blessing to get to know each of them and we have so enjoyed putting the packets together, lining up speakers and chatting. Ideas are being put together for the Spring Seminar in Minot (if anyone wants to help with that, please let Afton know). If you have any questions about our budget, seminars, etc., please do not hesitate to contact a Board or committee member.
Welcome to our new members, we are excited to get to know each of you, and thanks to those who have renewed their membership. Congrats to Afton on being elected President; a big thank you to Melissa for her service; welcome Kathy, Nilla and Ashley to the Board; best of luck to Lindy and Megan on their new adventures; congrats to Bonnie (scholarship winner); and thanks to Charlene, Laurie, Alice, Mary Sue, and Leigh.
