FALL SEMINAR

Hello everyone:

WOW! Thank you to those who attended our Fall Seminar at the Holiday Inn Bismarck on September 13 and 14, and helped make it such a success.

There were 25 full seminar attendees and 1 attendee who was able to attend the morning session. Registrations totaled $2,690.00. Candy and Lindy collected the donations and we are very thankful for those contributions totaling $950.00. Please remember to thank our sponsors as they are very important to us: Emineth & Associates; W.T. Butcher & Associates, LTD; Zuger Kirmis & Smith; Howard & Associates; Lori Hauge, Court Reporter; Kelsch Kelsch Ruff & Kranda; Smith Bakke Porsborg Schweigert & Armstrong; Storslee Law Firm, P.C. and Stinson Leonard Street LLP. We also collected $17.00 from the drawings.

Fall Seminar expenses (i.e., venue, meals, door prizes, speaker gift card (Kara Erickson), speaker donations, folders and postage) totaled $2,407.10. We did something a little different this year and that was to make a donation to a specific entity in the name of the speaker(s) instead of directly to the speakers. So in honor of the speakers for the Jamaican Me Crazy-Leads Lies and Losers and Schemes, Scams, and Flim-Flams, we donated $100.00 to the North Dakota Association of Drug Court Professionals; donations of $25.00 to CAWS (Council on Abused Women's Services) and $25.00 to Youthworks for the Wednesday afternoon speakers. (Melissa, Candy and Alice lined up our slate of speakers and we sure received positive feedback on the Conference Evaluation forms - if you have someone in mind for the 2017 Fall Seminar, please let us know. We are working on selecting dates and a venue for 2017, and will keep you posted.)

Corrina has been busy keeping track of income and expenses and as of this time, profit from the Fall Seminar was $1,249.90.

If anyone is interested in being on the 2017 Fall Seminar Committee, please let us know.
