OFFICER'S REPORTS

Alice Johnson, ACP

WDALA NALA Liaison

The NALA Conference will be held in Las Vegas on July 13-15, 2016. The conference has been trimmed to a succinct 3 days of go-go-go, netting the participants 13 hours of CLE! NALA has also expanded the CLE offerings to include two more conference sessions – Sports Litigation Legal Considerations and Sports Litigation Updates and Trends.

NALA has been busy as well reworking their website and making it easier to navigate. They have also created a page on the NALA website for affiliate newsletters! Not only does this give us a chance to review what our own affiliate is doing but to also check out what other affiliates are up to!

Estate Planning has been added as a course to NALA’s ever-expanding list of courses in which to achieve your ACP. This brings the total number of ACP courses to 26! These courses, in addition to the paralegal certification, self-study courses, webinars, and on-demand webinars, and show NALA’s commitment to its members’ education and growth. Deadlines for the upcoming CP Exams and dates for the various webinars may be accessed via NALA’s website.

For those of you interested in taking the CP exam, an Online CP Exam Review Study Group has been formed through NALA by volunteers to help facilitate discussions and answer questions from individuals taking the CP exam. This group can be accessed through Facebook and is available for anyone who is studying for their CP exam.
