8. What have been your biggest accomplishments in life?
Oh boy, I have no idea. I guess that I don’t really have a “biggest accomplishment”. However, I am very proud that I am a volunteer firefighter with the City of Devils Lake; still am able to have a full schedule of work, fire, volleyball, darts, and community activities; and, that I have a job that I actually really enjoy going to.
9. What is your favorite movie and/or book?
A Time to Kill – John Grisham – I surprisingly like the movie better
10. Tell us about your family.
My Mom lives in rural Tolna, North Dakota, where I grew up. My Dad just very recently passed away. I live in Devils Lake with my fiancee, Jason, and his 14 year old daughter, Cadence. They are amazing people! We also have a dog, Addie, and three cats: Tigger, Garfield and Lexie.
11. What are your hobbies?
Volleyball, activities with the fire department, darts, gardening, doing whatever I can outside and visiting with friends and family.
12. Tell us one thing about yourself that people might be surprised to find out.
I save all my change. I have a cup of change at work. A center console full of change in my car. A jar of change at home. Despite this, I never cash it in. I just have change everywhere.
13. What is one goal you have set for the year and how do you plan to achieve it?
I recently had reconstructive hip surgery. The recovery for this is HORRID. My goal is to recovery fully, and be able to walk without assistance, during my honeymoon in August. I am now able to walk short distances without crutches and plan to keep at my PT and do water therapy as much as possible to get myself ready to walk around Nashville!
