Interactive Spanish
This Spanish course will be taught using Interactive
White Board and Digital Language System
technology. The fundamentals of the target language will
be taught through visual symbols that represent parts of
speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, etc.). Students
will learn to associate a word or expression in the new
language with its corresponding symbol. With the first
lesson, students will be able to speak in complete
sentences in the target language. Students eventually will
be able to produce genuine sentences without the help
of the images. The symbols are simply an aid to help the
learner encode information (in this case, the vocabulary)
into long-term memory. Once it is there, the memory cue
is no longer needed. Students of mixed experience level
are welcome in this course. Students who wish to work on
writing and drawings to aid their learning are welcome to
bring a notebook. English and Spanish will be used in this
class. 3 week course
