SUMMER 2020 Italian American Digest

iao a tutti,
let me begin by
saying that our thoughts
and prayers go out to
those affected here in the
U.S. and in Italy by the
COVID-19 pandemic.
A lot has changed
in the world since our
last issue of the Italian
American Digest and the
AICC has experienced a
handful of firsts recently.
Most notably, this
particular issue is digital
only, a first for us and the
Italian American Digest.
An exciting change
for the Center has been
the switch to online
Italian language learning.
The classes have seen
great success and have
been so well received by
students that the AICC
will continue to offer
online Italian classes via
Zoom for our Summer
session beginning June
22nd!
As many of you
know, Louisiana and
the city of New Orleans
are in the midst of a
phased reopening. The
AICC reopened on May
25th with many other
businesses in the city. The
AICC is now welcoming
visitors again!
We're starting slow
to keep everybody safe
and still encourage social
distancing practices and
wearing PPE. We are
committed to the safety
of our guests and hope to
see you very soon..
