SUMMER 2020 Italian American Digest
How is everyone doing in
these changing times? The
Cefalutana Society would like to send
you happy greetings. We hope that
you are staying safe and well. We hope
that our friends
and family in
Italy continue to
improve also. As
of last week, there
were no cases of
COVID-19 in
the city of Cefalu.
There is a stay at
home order in
place in Cefalu, but
some businesses
are beginning to
open back up. If
you were caught
out illegally, you
would be fined up
to $300 Euro. Since
we are all stuck at
home, spend some
time reading about
Cefalu. There are
some great articles
online and lots of
beautiful pictures
of Cefalu. We will
soon be able to get
back to traveling
and you could start
planning your next
trip to Cefalu.
One day
before the first presumptive case relating
to COVID-19 pandemic in Louisiana,
the Cefalutana Society gathered for
a beautiful day at the New Orleans
Fairgrounds. None of what has taken
place in the last few months was on
anyone’s mind. Longtime member
and Secondo Vice-Presidente, Peter
Lamanna, Sr. has organized this event
for many years for members, family and
