Staffordshire
schools join the
A-Three family
We’ve enjoyed rather a ‘Fantastict’
start to the year, with several more
Staffordshire primary schools signing
up to our comprehensive ‘A-Three’
ICT and computing support package.
Designed to help schools prepare
for the 2014 computing curriculum
with the support and guidance of
a dedicated consultant from our
expert team, the development of
the package was a natural step for
Fantastict; as Education Director Joe
Basketts explains:
“Schools are under growing pressure
not only to invest in educational
technology but prove that they are
using it effectively to make learning a
fun, interactive experience. It forms
a major part of Ofsted assessment
and schools are now recognising
that one-off training and consultancy
services do not have the impact to
significantly improve performance.
“The A-Three support package
provides an affordable way for
schools to implement a strategy of
ongoing improvement – they receive
the Fantastict 2014 computing
framework which has been designed
around the latest KS1 and KS2
curriculum; a single, expert point of
contact throughout the year; support
in formulating a long-term vision for
IT in the school; ongoing consultancy
and staff CPD sessions; regular
briefings to keep them up to date
with current issues and substantial
discounts on our other services such
as training on classroom technology.”
Don’t take our word for it....
Henry Chadwick Primary School in
Hill Ridware, near Rugeley, is one of
3
the schools already benefiting from
the A-Three support package. Head
Teacher David Werry says:
“There were a number of reasons
why we were looking for additional
support for our ICT work this year. We
have had a lot of new ICT equipment
- including iPads - which we want to
ensure we make the most of; we are
aware of the new computing element
in the curriculum coming into force in
September 2014; and we also want
to formalise our work in the area of
e-safety. This means there are lots of
