AUDUBON FULL MOON HIKES WHEN / WHERE: June 29 and July 29, 8 – 9 p. m., Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, Bristol INFO: As the sun goes down, nature comes to life! Explore the wonders of the Audubon Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge at night. Enjoy a guided evening walk under the light of the full moon and search for nocturnal wildlife. Please bring a flashlight and dress for the weather. Registration required online. $ 10 / member adult, $ 5 / member child; $ 14 / non member adult, $ 7 / non member child.
AUDUBON BIWEEKLY BIRD WALKS WHEN / WHERE: Select dates from June – Aug. 9 – 11 a. m., Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, Bristol INFO: Join an Audubon naturalist for a morning stroll through the Claire D. McIntosh Wildlife Refuge in search of birds. Whether you’ re a beginner or an experienced birder, you’ ll enjoy spotting and learning about resident species and seasonal visitors. Bring your binoculars! Registration required online. Ages fourteen and up. $ 5 / member, $ 10 / non member.
AUDUBON COASTAL EXPLORATION WHEN / WHERE: July 14, 11 a. m.– noon, Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, Bristol INFO: Take a walk along the shore! Join an Audubon naturalist for a guided adventure along the coastline to discover the incredible plants and animals that live where the land meets the sea. From salt marshes to rocky shores, explore coastal habitats, examine shells, search for signs of marine life, and learn how tides shape

WORLD SNAKE DAY CELEBRATION WITH AUDUBON WHEN / WHERE: July 16, 10 a. m.– 3 p. m., Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, Bristol INFO: Learn all about snake adaptations, behaviors and ways you can help protect them. Make a snake craft, listen to a snake story and meet a live snake ambassador. Activities are included with admission.
AUDUBON FIREFLY GLOW PARTY WHEN / WHERE: July 18, 7:30 – 9 p. m., Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, Bristol INFO: Join Audubon for a magical summer evening celebrating one of nature’ s beloved light-up insects! Kick off the night with a low-light glow party and make your own glow in the dark firefly craft while learning about these fascinating creatures. Then head out on the trails in search of fireflies. MOONLIGHT STROLL AT AUDUBON POWDER MILL LEDGES WHEN / WHERE: July 29, Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge, Smithfield INFO: Join an Audubon naturalist for a mid summer evening moonlight stroll at Powder Mill Ledges Wildlife Refuge. Mid summer brings warm days and animals active at night. Observe and hear a diversity of wildlife such as deer, frogs, tree crickets, occasional owls and bats taking advantage of plentiful food and good weather. Advance registration required online. AUDUBON RAPTOR WEEKEND WHEN / WHERE: Sept. 12 – 13, 10 a. m.– 4 p. m., Audubon Nature Center and Aquarium, Bristol INFO: Hawks and owls are descending on Audubon! These avian hunters with long, sharp talons, hooked beaks, and highly developed eyesight will be featured in live presentations, educational programs and activities for all ages.
