JULIAN’ S AND PIZZA J, PROVIDENCE VIBE: Julian’ s was one of the first on the scene to begin catering cuisine to vegans three decades ago with brunch options like vegan French toast, gluten-free waffles with fruit and a tofu scramble. Pizza J followed suit with a whole restaurant dedicated to pies and will substitute vegan cheese or a gluten-free crust for any pizza.
