Spend Time Together This Summer !
We hope you can experience all that the Glenview Park District has to offer this summer . There are more than 150 fun-filled events for everyone to enjoy , including :
• Free Wednesday night Bearfoot in the Park Concerts at Jackman Park
• Free Thursday morning Little Bearfoot entertainment series for children at Gallery Park
• Journey to the 1800s at The Grove ’ s Pioneer Day
• Saturday morning trips to the Glenview Farmers Market
• Test your athletic mettle at the Park Center Triathlon
This month marks the end of my year as the Park Board President , though I will remain an active member of the Board . I am proud of our accomplishments over the past year , including achieving CAPRA accreditation and receiving the PARC ( Park and Recreational Facilities Construction program ) grant for renovations to Splash Landings Indoor Aquatics Center . The $ 2.8 million PARC grant is the largest grant received in Glenview Park District ’ s history , and is provided by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources . I look forward to the coming year , when Commissioner Cathy Basic will serve as the Glenview Park Board President .
