Participants will get up-close and meet a farm animal and then create a beautiful work of art inspired by their encounter . In June , we ’ ll meet the pigs and create a pig puppet . In July , we ’ ll meet the sheep , then create 3-dimensional sheep portraits . In August , we ’ ll meet the chickens and build chicken sculptures from cardboard .

Let ' s Paint

Let ’ s get out and get creative on the farm ! In June , we will draw and paint the chickens . In July , we will paint our beautiful wildflowers in impressionistic style . In August , we will walk around the farm capturing animals with quick gesture drawings and paint . Both kids and adults are welcome to participate .

Sewing in the Farmhouse

Join our sewing circle in the 1920 Wagner farmhouse as we sew buttons to make jewelry in June ; sew doll blankets in July ; and create small , decorative pillows in August . Both kids and adults are welcome to participate .

When Chores were Done

A visit to the farm will have lasting memories . Your child is invited to come to the farm to do the before supper chores . There are animals to tend to , the kitchen garden to be weeded and barns to clean .
