Learn the fundamentals of playing water polo , including treading , passing , shooting and strategy . Players will gain experience in both defensive and offensive positions through drills and game play . Participants should be comfortable in the water and be able to swim freestyle and backstroke .

Summer Aquatics Programs
Our new summer aquatics programs provide an excellent opportunity for ages 10-15 to learn what it ’ s like to work at our outdoor aquatics facilities . Participants shadow experienced aquatics staff while participating in challenges and activities designed to develop leadership skills . If you are 15 years old , you may apply to be a lifeguard or swim instructor with the Glenview Park District .
New ! Junior Lifeguard
Junior Lifeguards develop leadership skills as they receive basic aquatic lifesaving and first aid training through hands-on experience shadowing a real lifeguard .
