This competitive week-long skating camp offers skaters in levels Bronze ( Free Skate 1 ) and up to participate in various aspects of skating including : Off-Ice Training , Power , Jumps , Spins , Movements with Style and other opportunities . We will have coaches on our GPD Skating Academy staff as well as guest coaches for some new skills and techniques to enhance your summer training !

Take your skating skills into a power class . Skaters will work on speed , endurance , and edges to help advance their higher-level skating skills for all skating disciplines . Open to skaters in Silver ( Freeskate 4 ) and above .

Beginner

For children with no skating experience . This class involves walking , falling , getting up , introduction to gliding and striding .

Intermediate

For Skaters that have graduated from the Beginner program , can get from one end of the studio to the other without falling or obtained permission from the hockey director . The class will involve striding , gliding and snowplow stopping . They will be introduced to sticks and pucks .
