Explore the complex world of soil and the profound ways it supports nearly every form of life on Earth through this special exhibit at The Grove developed by the Smithsonian Institute ’ s National Museum of Natural History . Get connected to the Earth and soil and discover the messy joy that comes from playing in and with mud . Come in messy clothes to play in our mud kitchen , make mud paintings , dig for insects and microorganisms in soil , and much more !
