Skating is fun way to exercise that teaches coordination and balance , builds muscle and endurance and promotes relief from stress . The Glenview Skating Academy utilizes the curriculum standards established in the Learn to Skate USA program . Learn to Skate USA is administered by United States Figure Skating , the national governing body for the sport of figure skating . GPD Hockey utilizes the curriculum standards in Learn to Skate by USA Hockey .

SNOWPLOW SAM
Skaters ages 4-6 , with no previous skating instruction experience , begin at the Snowplow Sam 1 level . The Glenview Skating Academy utilizes the standardized curriculum in the Learn to Skate USA program developed by United States Figure Skating . Skaters explore the world of skating at their own pace in a fun and inviting class designed to develop fundamental coordination and balance skills . Skaters build a strong foundation by mastering skills in each level before advancing to the next level .
