RWPZ welcomed quite a few new bundles of joy over the past year , so be sure to look out for these adorable faces during your visit .
Whether you are an animal lover , a parent with little ones or just someone looking for a sunny day outing , Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence has something for everyone .
ROAM THE ZOO — A HOME FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES When you visit Roger Williams Park Zoo , you are helping to bolster the conservation work that the zoo staff performs daily trying to save and protect animals around the world . A visit with African elephants and Masai giraffes in the fabric of Africa area , a walk through Marco Polo ’ s adventure trek to see moon bears , snow leopards and red pandas or a stop in the World of Adaptations with the river otters and binturong means you and your family are learning about the plight of species from all corners of the Earth . Step into the Faces of the Rainforest exhibit and experience a tropical paradise right here in Rhode Island with beautiful macaws , a giant anteater , a variety of primates ( including Howler and Titi monkeys ), interesting amphibians and intriguing reptiles . Also take advantage of the Zoo ’ s new Wild Connections program which offers opportunities for private animal encounters .
EXPERIENCE THE SHADES OF NATURE Descendants of dinosaurs , alligators have relied on stealth and camouflage to survive for more than 150 million years . But why blend in when you can stand out ? Now through Labor Day , you can visit the beautiful and rare white alligator at the Shades of Nature exhibit located inside the Zoo ’ s newly renovated greenhouse .
EXPLORE AND SOAR No zoo visit is complete without a stop at the Explore and Soar area . First , enjoy a family-friendly excursion aboard the Woodlands Express . Then , fly 115 feet in the air on the Soaring Eagle Zip Ride and get a breathtaking bird ’ s eye view of the Zoo and the Providence cityscape . Both rides are open daily , with tickets available for purchase at the Explore and Soar ticket booth .
SIP AND STROLL Sip yummy alcoholic beverages and stroll through the Zoo on Thursday , July 15 , and Thursday , August 12 , during this special , adults-only summer event series . Enjoy live entertainment , animal encounters and more ! Cash bars and food carts will also be available .

Boudica the golden lion tamarin ( her older brothers , Angus and Magnus , shouldn ' t be too far away ).
Guanda , Guanathan and Guan Patalano ( named after the zoo ' s Director of Operations , Ron Patalano ), the blue-throated piping guan chicks .
The four new otter pups ( also known as kits or kittens ), which include two brothers and two sisters .
