BRING SCHOOL AGE KIDS

Jacksonville University joined with Esprit de Corps Center for Learning( EDC) to bring basketball fun and fundamentals to students through their free Basketball clinic held Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 9840 Wagner Road.
Hundreds of individuals from around the city, including parents, seventy( 70) participating students and members of the staff and faculty filled the impressive, state of the art, multi-purpose complex at EDC to witness and experience a rare act of giving and generosity.
“ We cannot say enough how much we appreciate all these young men for donating their time to instill their passion, skills and knowledge of one of America’ s favorite sports”, said Dr. Marvin Wells, one of the event organizers.“ Folks would normally pay $ 300 or more per child for events like these, but these young men gave of their time unselfishly at no charge”.

JU Division One Coaches and Players as they worked diligently to provide their knowledge, skill and expertise to a diverse group of students ages K-12. Students came from all around the city to gain an introduction to and learn more about the proper basketball techniques and fundamentals such as shooting, passing dribbling layups, etc.
