me of the woman who had an empty barrel and she kept on going back to find the meal had replenished itself, over and over again. That represents what God is like, he is the gift that keeps on giving. Once you receive this kind of gift you will never be able to say I don’ t want it or I don’ t need it, you’ ll never say I can’ t use it, you will always want to go back to the package to use what’ s in it continuously. It will never disappoint you.
The word of God says,“ God so loved the world that he gave”, when you love someone you want to give them something. He gave his gift to the whole world whether they wanted to receive it or not. It’ s over in Iraq, Iran, Switzerland, the Ukarin; it’ s even in Spain. God gave the gift to the whole world and he wanted all mankind to receive it. People are going to Africa, Europe, and South America talking about the gift that God gave, so that all people will know they can have it too. Some people believe that they can receive another gift to go to God. If that’ s the case, they are saying they are made different from other people. We are all the same; we are made in God’ s image. In America there are people who are saying they don’ t believe that. But yet God gave one gift. He said whosoever believeth in him will not perish, but will have everlasting life. We must believe God and take him at his word and follow him.
Now that you have received God’ s gift you are in him and you have everything that he as to offer. You heard his words of truth, and the gospel caused you to believe as you have never believed before. He who cometh to God must first believe that he is, and he is a rewarder to them that diligently seek him. After you believe you are sealed; you have been confirmed as a child of God. You don’ t have to wonder at anytime whether you belong to him. If your gift box contained all of these wonderful things,( regardless of how you feel or how you act) you have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise which is the earnest of our inheritance until redemption of the purchased possession unto the praise of his glory. After receiving you will begin to praise him because you want him to know you gIve him glory and honor for what he has done for you. Praising means you are offering him the credit that’ s due to him. At one time you were alienated from the Father because of your sins, but redemption brought you where you belong-- to him. He promised to give us the comforter. You will do things that will overwhelm you. When the Holy Ghost comes he will give you what to say and you will not be a muted believer. You will witness and say things to people that you will not normally say. The Holy Ghost will give you wisdom and understanding, and you won’ t be on the side of the enemy.
The gift contains wisdom, knowledge and understanding. People need the Savior more than they need your friendship.“ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, not sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delights is in the law of the Lord and in the law doth he meditate day and night”( Psalms 1:1-2). Just as the dope dealer pushes drugs, you will want to be somewhere pushing Jesus. You don’ t want anyone to be turned off about Christ, so you must be careful about what you allow to part from your mouth( especially around sinners, they need what you have.) You have supernatural power, and you will shut the mouth of gainsayers. You are empowered when you receive the gift. You don’ t dislike other people who have this gift. You shouldn’ t love the sinner more than the person who has the gift. To love the sinner is to have an attachment to your old self.
You must realize that what’ s been said thus far is what we have received. We can now get happy that we understand things about Jesus that we never knew before. We have the Holy Ghost who is our comforter. He will teach us all things and bring all things to our remembrance. He wants us to recall his word. Knowing this becomes easy, he says all we have to do is ask.
