Campers will learn basic and intermediate martial arts steps , kung-fu based games and beginning selfdefense all while having fun . Camp also focuses on self-discipline and builds self-confidence . Martial Arts campers will present what they learned on the last day .
July 10 - 14 9 am – 12:15 pm Grades 2-6 $ 156 / member , $ 148 early bird , $ 179 / non-member Parkour focuses on efficiency of movement – getting from point A to point B in the most efficient way possible . It ’ s about learning to navigate your environment in a playful way . Each day includes a warm-up and cool down stretch .
July 10 - 14 9 am – 12:15 pm Grades K-8 $ 214 / member , $ 203 early bird , $ 237 / non-member Join us this summer for tons of challenging chess lessons , exciting games , and cool prizes . You ’ ll improve your chess skills , meet new friends , and work out your most powerful muscle- your brain ! Our camps include team chess games , recess time ( of course ), snacks , tournaments , and puzzles . Each camper receives a Chess Wizards T-Shirt , trophy and puzzle .
July 24-July 28 9 am – 12:15 pm Grades 3-7 $ 165 / member , $ 157earlybird , $ 183 / non-member Instructor : Gerrie Young , M . A . Pottery Campers develop pottery techniques and experiment as they hand-build clay creations . Campers will learn how to design pottery with glaze and practice throwing a pot using the wheel . Campers will create art pieces to take home and cherish for a lifetime . Class is taught by a pottery specialist with multiple years of experience . Includes all supplies . Please bring a smock .
July 3-7 ( no camp July 4 ) 9 am – 12:15 pm Grades 3-6 $ 156 / member , $ 148 early bird , $ 179 / member Donna taught cooking classes in San Francisco from 1973 until 1990 . Donna moved to Tucson , Arizona in 1984 and was the Executive Chef / Co-Owner of Café Terra Cotta for 23 years . She authored the Café Terra Cotta Cookbook and was a James Beard nominee for Best Chef Southwest . Donna teaches Southwestern & French cooking classes in Tucson

July 3-7 ( no camp July 4 ) 9 am – 12:15 pm Ages 9 — 12 $ 156 / member , $ 148 early bird , $ 179 / non-member Students will use mine-imator animation studio to create animations using characters and backgrounds from the Minecraft ® game . Students will learn the basic techniques of animation and create a short video in this class .
July 17 - 21 9 am – 12:15 pm Grades 3-9 $ 165 / member , $ 157early bird , $ 183 / non-member From the Wright brothers to the Jets of the Israeli Air Force One week intro to Aviation History beginning at Kitty Hawk through to the Jet age . Campers will learn basic aviation history , aerodynamic principles , and Aircraft Recognition .
: July 31 - Aug . 4 9 am – 12:15 pm Grade 1-3 $ 156 / member , $ 148 early bird , $ 179 / non-member Students will learn the basics of computer coding in this introductory class . Students will explore coding with hands on activities including coding miniature robots ( Ozobots ) .
