LEGISLATIVE SERVICE AWARD
The Legislative Service Award recognizes an individual who has devoted years of service at the state or federal level . The recipient demonstrates a commitment to serving their constituents by actively participating in the legislative process and balancing the principles of justice and jurisprudence while serving the needs of the public .
Sen . Diane Larson represents District 30 and served in the House of Representatives from 1989-1990 , and again from 2013-2016 , before moving to the Senate in 2017 . Sen . Larson served the last several sessions on the Senate Judiciary Committee , and the last session as chair . She currently serves on the Interstate Commission on Juveniles , the Governor ’ s Juvenile Justice Advisory Group , the North Dakota Commission on Juvenile Justice , and is co-chair of the National Conference of State Legislatures ’ Law , Criminal Justice , and Public Safety Committee . Sen . Larson also sits on the boards of directors of Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch and the Children ’ s Advocacy Center .
