The rising cost of tuition can make the path to college seem daunting for many graduating high school seniors and their families . But for children of Cox employees , The Jim Kennedy Scholarship Fund can help make this transition to college a little easier .
Established in 2008 and personally funded by Cox Enterprises ’ Chairman Emeritus Jim Kennedy , each scholarship provides $ 10,000 annually toward tuition for up to four years and is open to any high school senior whose
parent has worked at a Cox company full time for at least three years .
Each year , an independent committee selects 15 scholarship recipients based on financial need and demonstrated commitment to personal growth . Since its inception , the fund has awarded 155 scholarships totaling $ 6.2 million . Congratulations to the 2022 recipients , who will be pursuing their dreams at colleges and universities across the country this fall .
