Spring Gathering
For hundreds of alums , a return to campus marked a return to normalcy . “ I haven ’ t been back in the building in three years , so the opportunity to be here twice in one week ( Class of 2018 Reunion and Spring Gathering ) makes it a very special return for all of us ,” one college-bound graduate shared with us . Indeed , this Spring Gathering was a sight to see : On June 16 , 2022 , the backyard tent of 12 East 89th Street was filled with collective excitement to be together in celebrating the indelible impact of retirees ( Kim Davidson , Paul Ondreicka , Miriam O ’ Regan-Román , Gisèle Rappaport , Jorge Román ), honoring our 25th Anniversary Celebrants William Best , Direxa Dearie , Sydney Orseck , William Arias , and Christopher Murphy ( shown on the following page , bottom left with Dr . O ’ Halloran ), and Alumnus of the Year Luke Jenkins ’ 04 ( shown on following page at bottom right with Alumni Council Chair Will O ’ Boyle ’ 94 ). The annual Spring Gathering occasion will always hold a special place in the fabric of our community , but this year ’ s return will be particularly remembered for the collective gratitude that all felt to be back together .
