All A-Glow
When Second Grade students in Mrs . Avila ’ s class celebrated Glow Day in their classroom , they glowed through learning activities in measurement , multiplication , and reading ! It was a day to remember . In the words of many of the second graders , “ Best day ever !”
You ’ re Never Too Old
Sixth graders couldn ’ t resist visiting Lower School Librarian Gretchen King for a “ read aloud ” and to reminisce about the “ good old days ” way back when they were Lower School boys .
“ We Sail The Ocean Blue ”
The beloved Fifth Grade musical tradition came roaring back with a spectacular production of Gilbert and Sullivan ’ s H . M . S . Pinafore performed for Fifth Grade parents , faculty and staff in our Otto-Bernstein Theatre in June . From the rousing opening number to the confetti-covered finale , and with song , dance , choreography , and stunning scenery throughout , this was a celebration of the arts at Saint David ’ s and of the joy of live theater performance . The production was directed by Saint David ’ s Choral Director Meg Myette . Music Chair Jeff Moore was the pianist . Set design was by Art Chair Jenna Boccella and the Grade Five Stagecraft Class .
