spirituality as to what is greater than ourselves. Maybe there are more similarities and fewer differences among us, if only we allowed ourselves to think that way. For my time on Hopi, I have tried to show that not all White men fit the stereotype that has developed over more than 400 years. And by being respected and published in the world off Hopi, I have tried to show that we can learn from Hopi as well.
We all have our place, and it would be most helpful to all if we could not only respect each other but also learn from each other. Hopis are perhaps the best dry farmers in the world. They have a special relationship with the land, nature, plants and moisture. White people are great at numbers and what we call “science” or “technology.” Helping and learning from each other would make the world a better place.
