AFTER TRAVELING HALFWAY AROUND THE WORLD TO AUSTRALIA for the first third of her career , Mindy Scarlett returned to the states to spend time in the Midwest and the Big Apple before finally making the South her home . Writing , editing and graphic design have always been part of her life , beginning in Australia as Editor for API , to owning an online newspaper and marketing firm , to starting an interior design company . Her storytelling abilities have been captured in publications such as The Melburnian , The Executive Journal , the South Bend Tribune and in Chicago Area Progress Press Publications . In her spare time she helps clients write Amazon Best Seller books as a way to promote their businesses . ONE DAY A FAMOUS PRAIRIE DOG HELPED MUSI DISCOVER HIS INNER DOCTOR DOLITTLE . Since then he wanted to become the Annie Leibovitz of animal photographers . “ I ’ ve been bitten , chased , charged , clawed , scratched , pooped on and peed on ,” laughs Musi . Over the last 20 years his photographs have appeared on the cover of National Geographic 11 times , and he has photographed everything from lions , and tigers to chimpanzees , rats , crows , horses , dogs , dolphins and even a 9,000-pound elephant .
