Mary Ellen , owner of Creatings by ME , has been making blankets for the animals during the pandemic . The blankets are keeping the animals cozy during their stay at our adoption center .
Guaranteed Rate in Downers Grove did a Random Act of Kindness for the animals at our adoption center . They donated lots of food and supplies .
The kids on Holmes Avenue held a lemonade stand and donated $ 100 to the adoption center .
Girl Scout Troop 55929 did a food and supply drive for the animals .
The Pierce Downer Student Council did a fundraiser for the adoption center . They raised $ 835 and donated $ 40 worth of dog treats .
Five-year-old Lizzie grew plants from seeds and sold them to make money for the dogs and cats at the adoption center .
Gail wrote a book called Snippits From Behind the Chair . When someone purchases the book , she uses the money they donate to buy food for the animals at the adoption center .

Thank you for checking in . Jumper has adapted very well to our home . He is just the sweetest puppy ! He loves being babied by everyone on the household . We are very thankful of all the schedule information that his caretaker sent us . It really helped a lot in getting him used of a routine specially for us that we are first time dog owners .
Thanks so much for the picture ! Cardigan is adjusting well , I think we have decided to name her Moon . That may change , the kids aren ’ t sure . She loves her cheeks scratched and is quite vocal meowing at me until I follow her wherever she wants to be . I only have taken a couple of pictures as of now . I will send more as I take them . She has found a spot inside of an empty bookshelf that she ’ s claimed as her own .
Checking in to show y ’ all Jude Paw ! He ’ s adjusting well and loves to be the center of attention . Meowsie , his sister , doesn ’ t mind since she doesn ’ t always want pets and cuddles but he happily does . They are yin and yang in that department . JP is just a big cuddly baby and we love him . Meowsie and him still fight here and there but we always monitor them and separate them if it turns from play to straight up fighting . Also , I made them an Instagram if you want to see them on there ! It ’ s @ meowsie . and . jp

Muumuu ( aka Adorabelle or Dora ) is doing great ! She ’ s a smart girl and the foster did a great job getting her ready for our home . She ’ s having lots of fun playing fetch in the yard and protecting us from squirrels . Thank you for reaching out and for helping us grow our family !
