TRACY HINES
Tracy Hines is an attorney at Barkus Law Firm , P . C ., in Fargo . She is licensed to practice law in North Dakota and Minnesota , as well as federal courts in North Dakota . She primarily focuses her practice in the areas of criminal law , restraining orders , name changes , and other miscellaneous civil matters .
Hines grew up in upstate New York . She attended and graduated cum laude in 2010 from Springfield College in Springfield , Mass . She continued her education at the University of North Dakota School of Law , and was active in the criminal law association , central law research , and moot court competitions . In 2014 , she graduated cum laude and was selected to the Order of the Barristers .
Hines previously served as the City of West Fargo prosecutor . Most recently , she was a Cass County Assistant State ’ s Attorney , where she prosecuted economic and violent crimes . She is a volunteer and mentor with the BIO Girls organization and is also a volunteer on the Stutsman / Barnes Drug Court . Hines resides in West Fargo with her significant other , Robert . She also has a very energetic golden retriever puppy named Bentley . Hines spends her free time attempting to golf , as the preferred pastime at Barkus Law Firm , as well as Solidcore and running marathons .
IAN DUNCAN JR .
Ian Duncan Jr . is an associate attorney at Morley Law Firm in Grand Forks . He is licensed to practice in North Dakota and Minnesota , and primarily focuses on insurance defense and civil litigation .
Duncan grew up in Winnipeg , Manitoba , Canada , where he graduated from Kelvin High School . He earned his bachelor of commerce honors degree from the University of Manitoba and received his juris doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2019 .
During law school , Duncan competed in the UND School of Law Internal Moot Court Competition and won an award for best oralist . He went on to compete for the UND School of Law External Moot Court Team and represented the UND School of Law at competitions in Nevada and California . Duncan served as the financial director for the Canadian Law Student Society , the external director for the Moot Court Board , and co-founded the Business Law Association as its vice president . He went on to receive the Lillian Elsinga Outstanding Student Leader Award .
Duncan currently resides in Grand Forks . He enjoys playing basketball and spending time with friends and family .
