Although Bjork Construction has two generations of experience within the construction industry alone , company president and principal owner Jean Bjork ’ s history in the trades actually goes back yet another generation , as her family owned a welding machine shop . Jean became a welder herself before founding Bjork Construction in 1988 with her carpenter husband , Don Bjork .

Having experienced first-hand the marginalization of women in the industry , Jean is particularly passionate about empowering women to be successful in the trades and in business .
