Summer 2018 2017 Alumni & Friends Outstanding Alumnus, Colonel Bob Mitchell. Kristin Wiebe, WNCC Foundation Major Gifts & Planned Giving ‘Summertime and the living is easy. . .’ so the song goes. Summer is often busy, but we know of a few ways that can make supporting the WNCC Foundation feel like a summer breeze! When you support the Foundation, you are creating opportunities for WNCC students and programs. HOMECOMING on the range 2018 2018 EVENT SCHEDULE Did you know that you can set up an automatic withdrawal from your checking account that lets you support WNCC students all year long? It can be set up on a monthly basis or as often as you like. Another tax-savvy way to give is by contributing from a retirement account – sometimes called an IRA rollover. A qualifi ed charitable deduction (QCD) or IRA rollover can be a much more benefi cial means of making charitable gifts for those taxpayers who are at least age 70 and own an IRA. Why? A QCD allows a taxpayer to use a standard deduction and receive a tax break for donating IRA funds to a public charity. Donating a large IRA, for example, would save you from making required minimum distributions (RMDs), and reducing those RMDs via QCDs can have a signifi cant impact on reducing your tax liability. This tax year may be full of changes, but we are happy to help you make it easy. Call the Foundation offi ce at 308.630.6550, for more information on these great ways to give!
