Waterford College of Further Education
and its Story of Glory
For the first time ever, WCFE had a men’s team that progressed into the finals of the College Football Association of Ireland League.
Excitement could be felt in the corridors and lecture halls of WCFE and on social media, hundreds of students from all disciplines rallying behind the team. Every player from every College in the League had their eyes on Waterford. This team was the one to beat. The final was against Carlow FE, who were also undefeated. Unfortunately despite the bravest efforts of the team, they ended as runners up. A wonderful team who performed out of their skins.
