Carving it Up in Bunclody!

The Bunclody Men's group is a Community Education group that brings men from the local community together for learning and educational opportunities. The group meet in the WWETB Bunclody Adult Education Centre, one morning per week, from 10am – 1pm. It is a very diverse group with members from all walks of life and new members are always welcome.

"Streams of Bunclody" is a woodcarving piece that the men created over the space of 3 years. The group worked with WWETB tutor and Wexford Artist, Paddy Darigan, to design, develop and create the 3 panelled woodcarving. The panels are derived completely from their own stories and depicts the town of Bunclody from past, present and future. It is really a beautiful piece of art that is well worth a visit. Having been officially launched by WWETB Chief Executive, Mr. Kevin Lewis, it now hangs proudly in St. Aidan’s Hall in Bunclody town. The Bunclody Men’s group are very proud of what they have accomplished and they are looking forward to continuing on their learning journey.
