Manipulatives and Conferencing and Pearson Oh My !
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Focus on providing many opportunities for hands -on learning and daily
student conferences while digging deeper into Pearson concepts and still
allowing time for independent practice. We will work through many
objectives such as measurement and problem solving so that our students
will construct their own cognitive models for abstract mathematical ideas
and processes. This process will also engage students so that they develop a
long-term interest and enjoyment for math! Together we will collaborate,
create examples of hands-on activities, and develop lessons within Pearson
that help students have a deeper understanding of the intended objective.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring a laptop or tablet and Pearson Teaching Editions (or access to
Pearson Online).
