Damp Cloth or Sponge
Hard-Bristled Brush
Pint of Plaster Paint’s Mist
Pint of Plaster Paint’s Ivory Pearl
Jar (8 oz.) of Plaster Paint’s Ava
Sandpaper or Sanding Block

Tools to Remove Seat
Vacuum
1 Remove the seat from the chair. If
the chair requires any repairs, complete
those before you paint. Wipe any dust or
dirt off the chair.
2 You don’t need to pre-sand with
Plaster Paint so you can skip sanding
and go straight to painting. Start with a
thin coat of Ivory Pearl by Plaster Paint
and allow the paint to dry (approximately
25 minutes).
3 Apply a second coat, using Mist by
Plaster Paint. Let dry completely.

dampened fabric in Ava by Plaster Paint.
Allow 2-3 hours to dry. Apply a second
coat if needed.
7 Using a sanding block lightly go over
the entire piece to smooth out the fabric.
Lightly wipe the fabric with a damp cloth
to remove dust particles.
8 After paint is dry, apply a coat of
Plaster Paint Paste Wax. Allow wax to
dry, then buff the fabric using a dry rag.
The fabric will soften into a soft smooth
texture. Wait 72 hours before placing the
seat back onto the chair.
This end product is a
