FESCO ICEBREAKER COMPLETES SUMMER NAVIGATION
FESCO’s icebreaker, the Krasin, has completed its journey to provide pilotage to vessels along the
Northern Sea Route. Requested by the Federal Maritime and River Transport Agency of the Russian
Federation, the Krasin set sail on the 19th of July 2015 and finished its trip on the 6th of November 2015.

During this journey, the ice breaker
delivered 114 00 tons of general
cargo to ports along the Northern
Sea Route via 32 vessels. They
removed 87 000 tons at the same
time.

FESCO’s other ice-class cargo
vessels also participated in the Arctic
summer-autumn season, including
the Ussuri (cargo), Vasiliy Golovnin
(diesel-electric) and Abakan (timber)
ship. The Krasin returned to its home
port Vladivostok on the 14th of
November 2015.
