I always wondered why I didn't see any NJ fashions weeks but, then out of nowhere I ran into this young powerhouse entrepreneur Desha Jackson, Attorney at Law.

Desha Jackson has embarked on her Jersey City Fashion Week 5th year Anniversary of this grand event of fashion in the fast and prolific life of Fashion on a "high" following behind the trails of NYFW, she has created an event that Jersey can call its own as JCFW.

Each year people from all over the Tri-State area and beyond the state’s as well as fashion lovers and spectators come out to see the newest trends to the newest designers that have embarked in the industry of fashion and entertainment. Models of all over get the chance to embrace the clothing of all of these beautiful and, may I say, creative designs from the innovative designers. While the audience gets to be in awe with the models gearing into the transition to walk with their face game on.

My time and journey started from the casting where I, myself, had to audition for and became one of the lucky participants to get a chance to feel the high of anticipation from a writer/blogger and a model.

Although, this is my second Fashion Week I get the thrill of the excitement before and after the event. Jersey City Businesses around the area had so much enthusiasm as models such as myself visited them and patronage their business with the appreciation for being a sponsor of this grand event.

The opening of the show was at the venue in Jersey city called the Marina. A very plush and quaint setting with the backdrop of NYC lights glistening off the waters surrounded the harbor which gave spectators in attendance the breathtaking, refreshing scenery.

the breathtaking, refreshing scenery. The following days of the event were quite different and creative which was held at the Train Station giving an ambiance of the old days like a movie scene from back in the day. Love the mindset of that idea inside the train station as it was highlighted as the backdrop of the runway event.

Photographers of Chapter Avenue Productions was on site doing what they do best in photography. Designers expressing themselves through clothing that tells a story in its own way from the designer's perspective was effortless and breathless.

Like designer Tyrone Chablis, who always never seem to amaze me but he does, with his very fascinated innovative t-shirt collage dresses/gowns, his clothing line is so original that no one can every copycat his style of brilliancy.

Designer Sonya Baker, who has such a delightful London accent can I say wow yes this lady line is blousy very sophisticated flowing in the wind dresses and bathing suit wraps that brings out anyone who is lucky to wear her designs with her vibrant colors.

Designer Hope Wade, who left a statement with her collection with the statement “Black Lives Matter” painted on her garments and then the drop the mic at the end with the runway model queen and mentor/coach of the Living Doll Project Ms Erica Carrington, grace the runway with the appearance of a Black Goddess with a flowing skirt and head wrap made like a crown with bold words in black print on the skirt Black Life Matters. Very nice indeed! Breathless!

Supporters of various groups like Ms. Cheryl Winstead of the Caribbean Day Parade who played a big part in assisting and just being supportive in attendance to every outing. Along with Desha's right-hand assistance Aida. What an amazing team she formed to make this 5th year Anniversary amazing.

Desha Jackson may be a petite woman in size and height but she packs a powerful creation in conquering her dream and vision on one of Jersey city best fashion week ever, and like they say
