When we have these thoughts it reduces our desire to start our wellness journey. We believe we will fail anyway, no one will care if we are sick or we have so many things to do for others we feel guilty for doing something nice for ourselves (joining a gym or starting a new course). So how do we start loving ourselves enough to get over those fears and start living our healthiest life now?

1. What’s holding you back, figure out the fear. There are situations that trigger these fears, if we figure out what they are we can learn to overcome it and heal.

2. Acknowledge it and then develop an action plan to move forward

3. Get an accountability partner, someone to hold you to your action plan and push you to get it done

4. Learn to celebrate your own small wins (you may have far to go but you have come a long way). Practise being your best cheerleader.

And remember feel the fear and do it anyway! Amazing growth happens outside our comfort zone.
