I was excited about the role, but the
nuances of the hospitality industry
I became pregnant with my son
while still working as a media
professional with RETV. My focus
shifted to looking for other
opportunities that would give me
more time and flexibility to spend
quality time with my family while
working. Another opportunity
presented itself after I had been
working in the media industry for
five years.
The Spanish Court Hotel was
opening in Kingston and needed a
Corporate Communications
Manager. Again, I had no
experience in that particular role
and no degree. Nevertheless, I got
dressed and showed up. I realized
that I could combine my hospitality
